For the acquisition of 1D and 2D routine spectra eight spectrometers (300 to 500 MHz) can be accessed directly by the researchers of the institute or are operated automatically using sample-changers.

Sample Submission for Measurement at High Field

Two 500 MHz spectrometers and two 600 MHz spectrometers equipped with cryo probes are operated by the staff of the NMR service. These instruments are dedicated to more involved or time consuming experiments and the measurement of low concentration samples. Here, we offer virtually all known high-resolution experiments in liquids, measurement of "exotic nuclei", and also HR-MAS experiments.

EPR service

Samples can be submitted for measurement on our Bruker EMX X-Band CW spectrometer. Please, contact the staff of the NMR service for further details (nmrservice@org.chem.ethz.ch).

Consulting

The NMR-Service advises the staff of the research groups in the choice of an optimal measurement strategy and helps with the interpretation of the spectra.

External customers

Measurements for researchers in other departments at ETH or for external customers  are possible if free instrument capacity is available. Members of LOC have priority.
